A Prayer about Remembering God’s Goodness in 2020

Steadfastly Faithful Lord,

On the eve of a long-awaited new year,

we cannot fail to look back on this past year

and see that you have done marvelous things.

In the midst of grief and anxiety and loss,

you have been ever-present with us.

You have made your “salvation known”;

you have “revealed your righteousness to the nations,”

you have “remembered your love and your faithfulness…” (Psalm 98:3).

We join with all the earth in praising you for sending Jesus to this earth

to live, die, and be raised that we might see your steadfast and faithful love to us.
